Derived from a Peruvian root vegetable,
which is grown on the high slopes of the Andes, this liquid sweetener is both
nutritious and incredibly tasty. Made up of largely FOS sugars, Yacon is
special in that it is largely indigestible by the body, thus will not be stored
as fat. What's more, Yacon is a natural pre-biotic (meaning it’s great for
digestive health!), aids in calcium absorption, and has an incredibly low GI
between 0 – 5, making it suitable for diabetics.
